Tips and FAQs
In order to maintain visitor safety and prevent the vehicle from slipping on the snow, or even losing orientation in the area during snow and fog, the site opens immediately after the snow is cleared from all routes in a manner that allows for a visit that does not endanger the visitors.
I wish we had an answer to that question! We are dependent on the weather, and unfortunately, it is not an exact science. Usually, the snowiest month is February, but we recommend checking the forecast constantly and, of course, remembering that it can always change.
The site offers visitors several stands that offer a changing menu which includes: pizza, hot corn, Druze pita, hot dogs, chicken tenders, hamburger and fries, pastries, salads, sandwiches, soup, and more. Of course, you can also purchase a variety of hot drinks, soft drinks, and refreshing beers.”
It is permitted to arrive with dogs and even ride the cable car with them. They must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle throughout the entire visit to the site.
Mount Hermon Site does not partner with clubs, and there are no discounts beyond the prices listed on the website.
Tickets can be canceled independently up to the day before arrival via the following link: https://hermon.presglobal.store/customer
About Mt. Hermon Ski Resort
The Hermon site is a tourist and recreation site that is active all year round. The site covers an area of approximately 2,434 dunams.
At an altitude of 1,600 to 2,040 meters above sea level, it offers a variety of attractions for young children and older children in winter and summer.
When winter arrives, the site is covered in snow and becomes a leading winter attraction, being the only ski and snow resort in the country.
The site offers a variety of slopes for the enjoyment of ski and snowboard enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to advanced skiers.
The resort has 9 cable cars, chairlifts, and T-bars for the use of skiers, a ski school that teaches skiing to beginners with no prior knowledge and to advanced skiers who want to improve their style, and a store for selling ski equipment and apparel.
Visitors who are not skiers are invited to enjoy a wonderful snow experience, including a ride on the new gondola lift to the summit of Mount Hermon at a height of 2,040 meters, a fun ride on the Extreme Sleds (Alpine Coaster), the SKY RIDER attraction – the only mountain-flying/hovering attraction of its kind in Israel, snow sledding for children, and general fun in the snow.
A variety of snack bars, a convenience store, and shops for purchasing winter and ski equipment are available for visitors at the site.
During the summer months, the site changes its appearance and becomes the coolest summer tourism site in the country, offering clear and clean weather at the top of the mountain, along with enjoyable summer attractions: a cable car that ascends to the summit of Mount Hermon, riding the Extreme Sleds (Alpine Coaster), summer tubing on the skiing slopes, self-driving on three-wheeled carts (karting), and soaring on the SKY RIDER attraction.
In addition, guided tours are held at the summit of Mount Hermon, during which visitors are exposed to the unique flora and fauna of the area, hear heritage stories about the “Battle Hills” on the Hermon and “The Eyes of the Country,” and enjoy lookout points towards the Hula Valley, the mountains of Lebanon, Syria, and the Golan.
